I have set the default address to :fail: but it does not work. All emails are just deleted if they are sent to non-existant addresses.

My ISP says we will just have to wait for a bug fix for cpanel but I was wondering if anybody else have suggestion as to why this does not work.

What do the exim logs say? Does grep 'forced failure' /var/log/exim* produce any useful? Have you tried doing tail -f /var/log/exim_mainlog then sending a mail to the address which has a fail and seeing weather that generates any activity?
