I'm using fantastico, and it's great. It's easy to translate it into your own language, and then you have the option of installing the various programs in languages other than english, which isn't available with the default cpanel installs.

I find it useful, especially for certain scripts like Image Gallery and B2, that my customers enjoy.
What's best is that once you make it part of your CPanel, the customers themselves can install these scripts.
Fast, easy and pretty reliable ;)

is it possible to enable/disable certain things depending on the client/package?

ie. make it a value added option not one that is enabled by default.

I finaly purchased Fantastico but found it a pain in the ass to install. The instructions supplied was poor and after adding symbolic links it still did not show up in Xskin or Bluelagoon skins.

I finaly had support for it from the maker and had to do a hard edit of the index file for Xskin and install a little gif as well.

Not what I expected but it does work quite well.

Any others with the same problems.

    Regards.

Rackshack now not only has $10 (price will go to $20 after jan 1st 2004) internal licenses for cpanel but Fantastico/Xcontroller are both included FREE of charge.

    Fantastico is frickin' awesome!

Just thought you all might like to know there is an alternative to Fantastico. It's simply called "Auto-Installer" from cpskins.com and comes with 15 scripts (more coming).

I've got it and think it's great. Very easy to install too.
