    Hi Guys,

Does anybody know how Fantastico stays in place in the CPanel menu even after upgrade?

We're working on an add-on but don't know how to ensure it doesn't get removed on upgrade etc (constantly having to re-install it isn't really acceptable) - Any information/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks

As long as you dont remove the cpanelif statement for fantastico icon, you should be fine. If your making another theme, just add the cpanelif statement :), either way, as long as you dont remove it, it should stay.

That is not the way to do it.
If you add the Cpanelif in the theme, it will still get overwritten.
You have to do a symlink and add the link to the main menu using <cpanel dynamicincludes="cells/*"> function. In other words, you are free to add anything to the folder /cells in x skin and it will not get overwritten during an upgrade, unless Cpanel mess up during the upgrade, which is not unlikely.
    :D :D :D

You can email me at mail@cpanelskindepot.com if you need help.

    Cheers.
