    Greetings from Greece,

I just saw in WHM that in "Add-Ons" section there's a new link named "Fantastico De Luxe WHM Admin". The strange thing is tha I DON'T have Fantastico installed!!!

I looked in the destination file (/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/addon_fantastico.cgi) and it has permissions, username1.username2, two different hosting accounts (one from me and one from a reseller of mine)!!!

What is going on there? What is this? I don't see it in my other servers. I'm afraid to run it, could it be an exploit that somehow got there and just waits for me to click on it? The files in the fantastico folder have yesterday's date!

    I repeat I DON'T use Fantastico!!!

    Sincerely,

    George Vardikos

Click it. Then click settings and check the details for the install. Who's email address is listed?

Well, before I click it, isn't it very strange that it has user1.user2 permissions in the files? (user1 is a user of mine and user2 is a user of a reseller of mine).

    Go on, have a guess
Are you sure that your hosting provider didn't install fantastico for you? That file wouldn't exist unless someone installed it on the server as it is not part of the default cPanel installation.

hmmm you would not be the same "George" who is from Greece and who sold me a reseller account that quit working on my November 22nd amd forced me to move to another host as you would not answer my emails? Just wondering cause your website kinda has the same layout as my previous host who riped me off royally?!

I don't think so, all reseller accounts I'm selling are based in Greek customers, since my main business in in www.hyperhosting.gr. What is the other site that is using the same layout as mine?

80% of the greeks are called Yorgos (Giorgos), Yannis (Giannis), Nikos, Kostas (Konstantinos), Dimitris. The 2 guys in question are different ones (and the websites don't seem similar to me).

Yes, George (Georgios, Giorgos) is a very common name here in Greece. It's like "My big fat Greek wedding" where the bride had about 10 cousins named "Nick" :)
