Hi. I would like to offer a feature suggestion for the File Manager in cPanel to allow you to upload more than one file at a time instead of just one file at a time. When I moved to a different host it took me a very long time uploading all of the files to public_html via FTP. Where's if I had the option to select more than one file via the File Manager I would have not had all of the FTP overhead and my files would have been uploaded a lot faster.

Thanks for your time.

Hi,

Thanks for your feature suggestion! We agree that the ability to upload a folder would be a great addition to File Manager. It already supports the ability to upload multiple files via drag and drop.

@Keymaker Just a short term suggestion. If you are moving servers:

- In file manager, go into the public_html folder
- Choose compress (to create a zip or tar file
- Copy the compress fine to the new server in the public_html folder
- Use file manage to uncompress

Typically it's a whole lot faster to upload a single large compressed file vs. 100's (or 1000's) of little files.

We use that method to migrate non-cPanel accounts to cPanel and we've found it much faster than ftp/sftp upload of the individual files.
