fedora core 2, quotas lock machine

    Quotas are now on
    /usr
    /var
    Using new and old quota support

    then machine is locked up solid, any ideas? fixes? im a new user, trying to install for first time. plz help.

    there is a known issue with quotas on Fedora

    reason im still using RH 9

    Root Administrator
    Found this problem yesterday, after a reboot the server was fine.

    Sorry I can not offer any advice, but after the reboot the quota's were fine and so was the machine.

    i fixed it, did a yum update prior to cpanel install to upgrade the kernel to 2.6.7

    Just update to new kernel .

    Run /scripts/fixquota

    your system work fine now.
