I've never touched cpanel so am a total newb here. I've been tasked with cleaning up a machine that runs cpanel. Most important issue at the moment trying to get to the /whm or /cpanel urls does nothing. My browser simply times out. I can start / stop cpanel, get no errors while doing so but it does not fix the time out. I have no clue where to even begin to look =\

Having problems with email services as well but hoping i can get them resolved once I can get into the admin area

    Thanks in advance

How long should I wait hoping for a response prior to cross-posting? =)

    Thanks

What type of e-mail problems are you having?

Copy paste the below and copy and paste the output

    Version information needed to help:

    Cpanel:
    Code:
    /usr/local/cpanel/cpanel -V

    Stunnel:
    Code:
    ps aux | grep stunnel

    Cpanel version is: 10.8.2-RELEASE_119
    stunnel 4.15local

Just to note I was initially having problems with ssl failing to start. I made a change I found in another thread and added this version to the stop script and when starting cpanel ssl is having no problem binding to the ip.

As far as email goes, no messages are getting delivered but then again I have no idea what users are even configured in cpanel as I cannot get to the management interfaces.

So I punched ports 2087 / 2083 through the firewall for my ip but it doesn't appear to have changed anything.

    Code:
    iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --syn -s x.x.x.x --dport 2087 -j ACCEPT
    iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --syn -s x.x.x.x --dport 2083 -j ACCEPT

    Should do it, yes?
