Hey there! Usually this happens when there is already a file with that name in the location where you downloaded it to. For example, if you download example.txt to your desktop twice, you'll see one "example.txt" and another "example.txt (2)"

If that isn't what is happening, then the numbers are part of the filename, and there is no specific meaning applied to that.
