It seems that you can't use the editor or code editor to edit cgi files with the new file manager? It works with the Legacy file manager and you can edit perl (.pm) files but the editor and code editor don't do anything when you try it with a cgi file.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

Does anything show up in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log when attempting to open the .pm file for editing in the Code Editor?

    Which browser are you using?

What are the permissions and ownership of the file(s) in question?

Thank your for your updated. There is no error message in the cpanel error log and all this files have 755 permission also there is no problem with the ownership. I'm try this using Internet Explorer.

The original poster stated that .pm files worked fine, but the issue was with .cgi files.

We have the same issue with .cgi files - was a ticket raised and a resolution found?

    Thanks,

    Paul

Yeah, I think I was asleep when I read the initial message. This problem is now resolved in our latest test builds.
