Is there some way to get the html editor to open a php page? A client wants to make some basic changes to static data on a php page.

What problem is the user having? I've just tried editing a file and it works fine here. I was able to open a .php file using the Edit button and the Code Editor button. There is a message about encoding and asking if you'd like to disable or not. If this is set you can reset it back to asking about it by clicking the "reset all interface settings" on the bottom of the main page of your cPanel.

Might be worth a try anyway. ;)
