One of my client getting this error on his cpanel account when uploading files using File Manager:

his quota is 50MB and used 46MB, the file he want to upload is html file and jpg file which sized around 4KB - 30KB

although file manager said that the user still can upload 4MB file more, he keep receiving the error and upload failed.

cpanel version: WHM 11.15.0 cPanel 11.18.0-R20595

has been try modifying his quota to 100MB and restarting cpanel, the problem still happens.

    any thoughts?

You might want to go over your settings in WHM > Tweak Settings > Notification and System sections to make sure you're setup as you want.

    help please

    I have also this problem

I can upload a compressed joomla file with 6mb quota by FTP, And also can upload files bigger that 6 mb by joomla uploader.

But by cpanel file manager I'm unable upload files bigger than 2mb I face with this error "unknown Bytes: 0% Complete FAILED! :Unknown error or disk quota exceeded"

Once you've uploaded a file via your Joomla site, can you check it via command line or FTP to see who the owner of it actually is? My guess is it's user nobody.

In your cPanel on the left hand side where it says "Disk Space Usage" what does it say? Is the account actually out of space possibly?
