Does anyone know why file manager has no download option, ie. save file to local disk? I know we have open, but that doesn't always cut it.

File Manager is not designed as an FTP client with up/donwload functionality. You can suggest adding "download" feature to the CPanel company: www.cpanel.net

You'll have to use your preferred FTP client such as: WS_FTP or CuteFTP. Or you can use the conventional FTP function on your own PC, at the DOS/Command prompt.

Select the file so that its name is displayed in the right hand section (below the options) then right click and "save as"
