Hello all:

Every once in a while I receive the following messages in my logs:

filelimits: Increasing file system limits succeeded
kernel: audit(1170736115.169:12): avc: denied { read } for pid=4480 comm="named" name="libcrypto.so.0.9.7a" dev=sda6 ino=14747 scontext=user_u:system_r:named_t tcontext=system_u: object_r:file_t tclass=file
What does that mean exactly? Can't find where these are coming from...

Thanks

Seb

SELINUX=disabled

in

/etc/selinux/config

then reboot box.

there are issues with cpanel and selinux.

Hello katmai:

Disabling Selinux will address the first warning (filelimits) or the second (kernel audit)?

I guess that these are not linked. Does anyone know of a good resources listing all messages generated by centOS?

safe to disable Selinux?

I wonder: Is it really safe to disable Selinux?

But for conflict with cpanel, I didn't find one clear explanation on why we should disable Selinux...
What should replace Selinux?

Thanks
