Hello
Most of the users are complaining that cPanel filemanager and FTP Uploads are very slow even i had contacted the Cloudlinux dept if Cagefs or other limits causing the issue but they said there is no issue from cloudlinux end

Please help me on how to fix this case

and do you experience the same? Is it interrupting as well? (the upload) do you use any firewall? If you do have you whitelisted the passive range of the FTP server?

Well can you try? Just run csf -x to disable it then csf -e to enable it again. Your settings won't be lost.

I'm not sure what could cause this without having access to the server. Have you asked your hosting provider yet? Maybe @cPanelLauren has some further ideas here.

@cPanelLauren has abandoned us! Well, just for today though :D

FTP slowness likely isn't something that would be related to the cPanel tools on the server. If you have access to one of the networks where users are reporting the slowness you could try a direct FTP connection over the command line to see if the speed changes there, which would at least rule out the client, but there aren't any cPanel settings or options that would limit FTP speed. It might be a good thing to speak with the hosting provider about to see if they can run additional tests on the network itself.

Hello, I'm also having a similar problem.

cPanel on CloudLinux 7 -> FTP uploads between 20-100 Mbps
cPanel on CentOS 7 -> FTP Uploads between 400-500 Mbps

vsftpd on Ubuntu 20 -> FTP Uploads at +700 Mbps

All tests have been performed on the same Proxmox node (same network) and all VPS are KVM type.

For some reason uploading files by FTP on CentOS is slower than on Ubuntu and on CloudLinux is slower than on CentOS.

The problem is exactly the same using SFTP (SSH port). However, if I run a wget the speed is perfect +900 Mbps.

Very strange...

Can you do the same test using PureFTPd or ProFTPd? as vsftpd is not supported by cPanel. On the CL box there could be many throttling factors due to the resources throttling feature available there.
