    Hey all,

I am a bit of a noob when it comes to all this cpanel stuff. My problem is, I have just created a database to install sNews, to complete the installation I have to edit a file called snews.php. Now the problem is I have to enter the host name of the database but I dont know where to find it.

This is the code I need to edit

    Code:
    $db['dbhost'] = 'localhost'; //MySQL Host
Help will be very much appreciated

    Kirsty

the hostname in your script can be:

    localhost,
    Server IP address,
the actual hostname of the server,
or your domain name -- only if it points to the server you are installing application on.

All above should work. However normally it is localhost.

localhost done the trick. I just got a little confused as I was watching a video tutorial for the installation of snews and he went into his host and got a web address but the problem is sorted now :D
