FireWall Script

    I'd be concerned by the fact that there's a lot of hype about it and very little detail about what it actually does. It seems it's a PHP-application-level-firewall script and it's also a little scary that they don't say that and don't realize that is an important and relevant thing to say.

    The script may have some value but it's hard to see from the website and no way am I installing an ioncube encrypted bit of PHP on any of my sites.

    If you get your server admin to run CSF you'll get protection from most of these issues at a system level (www.configserver.com/cp/csf.html).

    It's an application level firewall ( read: filter ), not a replacement for tools such as IPTables.
