Hi there, I am trying to create a Flash Tree menu that uses XML for the navigation items. The file works fine on my local copy, as soon as it is tar'ed and uploaded, the Flash movie stops working. I check out the XML and it is converted into a text file. Any ideas?

Help me please! lol, never thought I would say that...

IM using 2 flash menus inside my new skin... they fuction well.

    http://www.fishpick.com/elink.htm

But im not using any external files or XML. I'M using internal action script... Try loading your swf from a external soucre and make sure your server properly configed.. Alos check your sever for the proper MIME type for application-x .swf

webmotion: have you actually put the flash on the server? Does it work? I am working on a skin right now with a flash menu as well...

the problem is that Cpanel replaces all of my XML tags then add the cpanel copyright notice smack right on the top so that throws my .swf off. I even tried linking to the XML file from an outside location but it doesn't allow the file to be loaded.

    Wills,
I have had quite a few issues with Flash inside Cpanel.
Below is what i recieved from Cpanel supoprt about the use of Flash use inside Cpanel. ITs not fully supported at this time so we have to make do, unitll they have a resolve. Are you loading your a XML file into the swf?

Ah I see. Yeah I load the XML node into Flash, it makes it a lot easier for me to update the menu items when needed. I did it like this so I can remove features from the CP when the hosting plan doesn't support a particular feature.
