In the webinar, it was mentioned that the Angry Lama team had no plans to revisit the backup system again (even though it was talked about internally).

However, later in the webinar it mentioned that there are some things that didn't make it into this release and will come later.

    What what is it?

    I'm particular interested in:

Ability to change the time the backup starts
Ability to set certain accounts to backup less frequently (perhaps by package)

    Hello :)

There will always be improvements to the backup system, however there are no firm dates/decisions on the two specific features you have mentioned. You can manually modify the time the backup script runs by editing the root crontab with a command such as:

    Code:
    # crontab -e
The line to modify for the new backup system is:

    Code:
    0 2 * * * /usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup
Or, you can install the "Cron Config" plugin to modify the cron job time in WHM via:

"WHM Home » cPanel » Manage Plugins"

It's always a good idea to open a feature request or search for existing feature requests using our feature request system:

    Submit A Feature Request

This will allow other users to vote and add feedback to a feature request. It provides the development team with a better idea of which features our customer desire the most.

    Thank you.
