force backup procedure

    i dont think backups are being created in the /backup dir i setup. is there a way to force a backup to see if it is working|?>

    From shell just use:
    /scripts/cpbackup
    to run the backup manually.

    what does this mean.

    web# /scripts/cpbackup
    send to CONTACTAIM (2) [1]
    send to CONTACTEMAIL (3) [1]
    send to CONTACTUIN (2) [1]
    /backup is not mounted at /scripts/cpbackup line 169.
    web# connecting...

    should i be editing a config file? it didnt seem to do any backing up.

    I get an email from the server saying

    The backup was not able to be completed because /backup could not be mounted

    Any ideas on how to mount it>

    try:

    mount backup

    If it says "can't find backup in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab" then do:

    mount -t ext2 /dev/hdc6 /backup

    replacing the hdc6 with whatever partition your backup is in.
