    I am trying to force TLS 1.2 in a single directory, rather than on the entire server. If anyone can help with the .htaccess that would do this it would be appreciated. So basically I want it in:

    /home/user/public_html/subdirectory_of_root

    Thank you for the reply. I am trying now to use this method, but can you please tell me if this should go in my server's pre-main includes area? Also, all tests I've done with it there still seem to show the main server's SSLProtocol, and not this directory's. Here is what I have in pre-main includes:

    <Location "/home/mysite/public_html/highSSLdirectory">
    # but https://hostname/strong/area/ and below
    # requires strong ciphers
    SSLCipherSuite HIGH:!aNULL:!MD5
    </Location>
