I did a search on "form processing" and found a lot less than I expected and then nothing even resembling a consensus. I'm looking for a simple, stable, secure form processing script that won't take me an hour to explain how to use to my customers.

    1. If you have something you are using now, and it is really working out well, please let us know.

    2. I know there is some kind of form processing script built into cPanel, but for the life of me I can't figure out if it is safe, updated, a joke?

Maybe we can get some clarity and consensus on this if we all contribute.

    Thank you.

Better than some, worse than others. Getting CAPTCHA added to it would greatly improve it. As it is now, you don't even need a form per say.. just a properly constructed request, eg.

    Code:
    http://domain.com/cgi-sys/formmail.cgi?recipient=user@domain.com&subject=test&message=look+at+what+I+can+do

Sounds like a spam machine. Does it really work that way?

it makes sure the recipient is on the server. So you can erm, well spam the local machine :D but nothing too bad.
