Hi,

Normally I would point the MX records of a domain name to the customers Microsoft Exchange server so all mail is managed by it.

However in this case, I need one email address to be 'filtered out' and delivered locally on my WHM/Cpanel server while all other email addresses are forwarded to the exchange server as normal.

Is something like this possible?

Cheers

No, it's not possible if the MX records are pointing to the Exchange server.

If the MX records of the domain are pointing elsewhere, then emails for that domain will never arrive your server, they are sent to the server the MX records point to.

You must have the MX records pointing to your server, and then forward the emails (except for that one address) to the Exchange server. I can't say exactly how to configure that but it should be possible.

That's exactly what I will do - Point the MX records to my WHM/Cpanel server then forward specific emails to an external IP address (the MS Exchange server). The remaining emails can then be delivered locally.

If anyone has any details on doing this I would greatly appreciate it.
