    Hello everyone,

I was wondering if this is possible.

We have an e-mail forwarder set up so that e-mails from address1@domain.com get forwarded to address2@domain2.com

When the message arrives, the 'from' address is the original sender's address. Is there anyway to set is up so that the 'from' address is the forwarding address that we set up. In this case, address1@domain.com ?

The real life situation is that:
    1. We will receive emails from external@domain.com
    2. The message will be forwarded from internal1@domain.com
    3. To customers@emailaccount.com

We would like internal1@domain.com to be the 'from' address that the client sees and not 'external@domain.com'

    I hope that makes sense.

    Kind regards

    James

    Hello,

Thank you for replying. I've taken a look but this appears to only work for e-mail accounts, not forwarders. We do not have e-mail accounts set up for what we're trying to do, just forwarding addresses.

    Kind regards

    Hello,

Check to see if the following option is enabled under the "Mail" tab in "WHM >> Exim Configuration Manager >> Basic Editor":

Enable Sender Rewriting Scheme (SRS) Support

This option rewrites sender addresses so that the email appears to come from the forwarding mail server. This allows forwarded email to pass an SPF check on the receiving server. You'd need to disable this option if you want the header to show the original sender's address.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for this. Is it possible to turn it on on a per-domain basis? We only really want to do it for one domain if possible.

    Kind regards
