Free cPanel cert - does it create a vhost entry?

For anyone who has installed the free cPanel backed SSL cert could you be so kind as to check to see if it creates a vhost entry for the host itself in the httpd.conf file? If so, does it make it the first vhost port 443, making it the default? Thanks in advance.

Hello @brooks,

The AutoSSL feature installs certificates on Virtual Hosts that already exist, and this subsequently results in a new Virtual Host for the domain name over port 443. It wouldn't install a certificate if no Virtual Host existed for the domain name or subdomain.

Additional information about the AutoSSL feature is available at:

Thank you.
