Hello,
I have seem a lot of posts complaining about the cPanel Trial banner, but there arguments are mostly flawed as they are trying to use cPanel for free. I am not trying to use cPanel for free, nor am I not paying for cPanel already.
Lets take a look at the problem I have. I have my servers co-located in 3 different data centers with 3 different networks, 2 of the 3 offer cPanel at better rates cPanel does not, plus another pro is keeping everything on one invoice, it really helps especially for a cost under $50.
I have a good number of clients VPS servers and cPanel hosting. I keep all my resources fair and never oversell so I often adding new cPanel servers, or at times I may need to change the main IP address for unforeseen reasons. When this happens I need a new license or renewed, but if I am not available I can not allow an employee to make those changes with my host. Also sometimes my host has issues registering my IP and it takes a bit longer then RIGHT away. I have ran into having to use a trial license for production more then once because of issues with a license. It is ugly and makes me look unprofessional.
I think you should remove it from any non reseller or root account.
