NO ! And they also dont have a Date when a CPanel-Build will come out for FreeBSD 6.0.

Asked this two Days ago via a Ticket; need to setup new Servers and wanted to check if I allready can set-it-up on 6.0 instead 5.4.

I dont know of a target date

I don't know of a target date - perhaps someone from cPanel would be better weighing in on that answer

Their home page however ( www.cPanel.net ) lists what versions they currently support

As of today Nov 26, 2005 this is what is listed:

    i386 Supported Distributions
    Trustix ES 2.0, 2.2
    cAos 2
    SuSE 9.0
    RedHat Enterprise Linux 2.1, 3, 4
    Whitebox Enterprise 3
    Debian 3.0 (BETA)
    FreeBSD 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6, 4.8, 4.10, 5.0, 5.3, 5.4
    Fedora 1, 2, 3, 4
    RedHat Linux
    (Fedora-Legacy) 7.3, 9
    CentOS 3, 3.1, 3.3, 3.4, 4, 4.1
    Mandriva 7.2, 8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 9.0, 9.1, 9.2
    x86_64 Supported Distributions
    CentOS 3.4, 3.5, 4.0, 4.1
    cAos 2
    FreeBSD 5.3, 5.4
    Fedora 3, 4
    RedHat Enterprise Linux 3, 4

I have a few boxes running on CentOS4.2 and no worries - but nothing later than that -

Just out of interest - why FreeBSD 5 ? (is there something real cool I should know about ?)

I'd suggest submitting a Feature Request for FreeBSD 6 support at http://www.cpanel.net/support and then 'vote' on the report that is created.

I hope they get it working soon.. I have a couple new servers I need to get up this weekend... I'd prefer to put 6.0 on them so I don't have to migrate in the future... It'd be a huge headache....

Should be fairly easy for them to get freebsd 6.0 to work with the cpanel installer..

I installed it manually 2 months ago on a server which has been working flawlessly since...
