I upgraded to R118, had some problems so went back to S14. After that, upcp started updating the ports even though ports is turned off.

In the process, it deletes a bunch of the ports including the index-5 file so it needs to be rebuilt it which takes well over an hour to complete unless I 'make fetchindex' during the process which which will cause it to stop rebuilding the index and continue. This process really bogs down the server while it's doing it.

"The ports update option is set to NO but upcp seems to ignore it. It doesn't do it everynight, but, seems to be doing it every 3rd night.

Put in a ticket and they said:

It looks like its all up to date. Take a look at /scripts/portsup, that is what is doing this and all it does it rsync some ports to /usr/ports so they will be the ones that work with cPanel, but it doesn't actually install or update the installtion of those ports.

You can always run /scripts/portsup or /scripts/upcp manually and see if it does it or not :) "

Anyone having the same problem or have a solution??
