Good day to all. I have a problem that I am sure belongs to my "host", but I can't seem to contact them. I have heard that the C-panel folks in Houston are having big problems because of IKE.
My question is "how can I personally rectify this situation?"

Thank You for installing cPanel / WHM.
In order to access the interface, you will need to make sure that the software license on this server is active and installed.

Your license could not be activated because:

    Cannot Read License File

First, go to http://verify.cpanel.net/ and enter the public IP address of this server to make sure it is licensed.
If licensed, try running /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt from the command line as root.
You'll also need to make sure that port 80 is open to contact our license server and that your hostname is a FQDN.

I would prefer to handle this in private. Please submit an email to billing@cpanel.net and they'll give you a technical procedure you can use to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Also be sure to include your IP address. While we haven't had any license issues as a result of Hurricane Ike, it never hurts for us to double-check when these issues arise.
