Starting today front page is useless. User can't loging and if i run ./set_default_perms.sh it wont even show the login screen.

    Anyone else experiencing the same?
already /scripts/easyapache option 5. Went ok but no luck with FP...

    Any clues?

We're having lots of FP issues. Our theory is that it is related to the frontpage_passthrough_authentication module added last night...though we don't exactly know why.

This is a major problem! Anyone at Cpanel working on this? How about an update?? Frontpage 2002 is returning this error; "Documents in this folder are unavailable. The folder may have been moved or deleted, or network problems may be preventing a connection to the server."

reinstall front page for a specific domain and see if that helps.

Plus, if it worked before the update, and its broke after, that usually means the update broke it.

Have your customers reinstall front page extensions in their control panel. That should fix their front page extensions.

    Reinstalling FP extensions doesn't help

I've had this problem for 2 weeks now. Also cannot access web sites with Dreamweaver or Homesite. Can only use ftp. Anybody hear from cpanel yet?

The problem only exists on my red hat 6.2 box, all other machines are running RH7.3 and they don't have any issues.

I re-installed apache using easy apache. That didn't work, so I installed the fp upgrade distribution on layer1's location, didnt work. I had users uninstall/re-install front page didn't work.

I opened a ticket with my license provider, might as well have been talking to a wall.

    "quote from license provider"

    --------
Seems that cPanel provide support for Red Hat 7.3 and above when it comes to FrontPage.
I would suggest upgrading your machine to Red Hat 7.3, and then reinstall cPanel. That will require reinstalling your machine, and wiping out the data. Do you have a backup drive?
    --------

After I fell out of my chair laughing, I came here to post..

At this point, I'm willing to try anything. Does anybody want to sell me some of that magic IBM pixie dust? or is SCO claiming they stole that too?

FrontPage hasn't worked on my FreeBSD server since I started using it over a month ago. The other day I updated cPanel to the latest STABLE 7.x release, updated FrontPage, recompiled Apache, and it still isn't working.

I have over 20 clients who insist on only using FrontPage to edit their sites and they are really mad. I've opened tickets about the problem but cPanel is ignoring them and I haven't heard anything back in over 5 days.

This is really frustrating!! Why can't you guys fix something that is so common??

Has anyone had success in downgrading FP back to the previous ver ? I am having some serious issues with subwebs. I submitted a ticket to Cpanel days ago and they tried to fix the problem but now, they just like gave up without any response. Also, I am using RedHat 7.3 and the latest cpanel E118 that was supposed to fix this problem.
The only thing that might work if we try and downgrade back to the previous ver. of FP extensions.
Has anyone been successfull at doing this yet ?

    Frontpage on Cpanel

Bruce: I've had major problems with Frontpage (and Homesite and Dreamweaver too) for weeks, but I'm beginning to believe that it might not be Cpanel because several other clients on my ISP (Vortech) have reported same problems on Hsphere using an NT box. This is the error message I am getting: "Documents in this folder are unavailable. The folder may have been moved or deleted, or network problems may be preventing a connection to the server." Who is your ISP? I have another tech who is going to take a look at it tonight. Will let you know what I find out.

I got my first complaint today, but we dont update often. Did a manual upcp on Saturday night, but dont know if this problem was already occuring. Users are claiming it worked last week but our apache binary shows a build date of 07/27/03 so its not likely it would be dead this long.

If it helps, I have the server here in our shop so I can watch it and only started noticing HTTPD core dumps since this last upcp.

In /usr/local/frontpage/version5.0/bin the fpauth file shows a date of Aug 26th at 2:13 am even though we have all updates set to manual. Dont know how or why that updated.
