    Hi all,

    I upgraded Apache using WHM and ticked FrontPage support. Since doing this, the FrontPage extensions are not working on one of my clients sites.

    The client uses FrontPage for forms as well as a counter.

    www.granada-and-scorpio-online.com is his site - he has added a temp counter to the bottom, but the problem counter in question just says Hit Counter.
    Also if you click on Buy and Sell then Free Ads and try to make a new one, it doesnt submit - it comes up with
    Any ideas? I've looked in /_vti_bin/ and cannot see an shtml.exe file - nor in any previous backups.

    Thanks

    James

    Did you select in WHM Install Frontpage Extensions after compiling in Apache?

    If there are no files in the frontpage directories then you may have to get the client to republish his site after your recompile.

    Not sure what else you can try but there may be more FP knowledgeable members who will be on line sometime. It is a matter of waiting. In the mean time try and search the forums for some possible answers.

    :)

    Aye - tried that. Will get the client to re-publish it.

    Cheers

    Also check the .htaccess file that FP puts into the public_html. One of my clients has FP and the .htaccess file looks like this:
    Code:
    # -FrontPage-

    IndexIgnore .htaccess */.??* *~ *# */HEADER* */README* */_vti*

    <Limit GET POST>
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    allow from all
    </Limit>
    <Limit PUT DELETE>
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    </Limit>
    AuthName www.yourclient.tld
    AuthUserFile /home/username/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd
    AuthGroupFile /home/username/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.grp
    It will rename any exsisting .htaccess files which like this: .htaccess.1112934665
    HTH

    it reads
    Code:
    # -FrontPage-

    IndexIgnore .htaccess */.??* *~ *# */HEADER* */README* */_vti*

    <Limit GET POST>
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    allow from all
    </Limit>
    <Limit PUT DELETE>
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    </Limit>
    AuthName www.test.com
    AuthUserFile /home/test/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd
    AuthGroupFile /home/test/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.grp

    When he publishes it, it says the extensions are not installed but i removed them from his account and re-added it.

    Any other ideas?
    Thanks again :)
