A client sdent me the following in an email today and I am unsure as to what do to.

"I have been having a play with FrontPage forms and just noticed that when results are sent to an email address, the sender’s address is:

    username@hostname

This poses a problem for resellers (such as myself, northwe) as when customers see their form results in their inbox, they will see it coming from your server and so they may go to you and buy hosting."

I've got exactly this problem and changing the reply-to in the form bot options doesn't affect it. Can someone respond on what might be a solution? Is this controlled by the extensions or Cpanel? It's really becoming an issue with our clients. Thanks.

    under /usr/local/frontpage

there are .cnf files which contain the supposed configuration for frontpage settings.

the MailSender is set to the same as the ServerAdmin config var in apache.

so why is it still saying that they're coming from user@thehostname.com and not webmaster@domain.com

I have a similar problem. Something is odd in the bounce message though...

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

    %r@cpanel.mydomain.com
    Unrouteable address
    -t@cpanel.mydomain.com
    Unrouteable address

The address the form is supposed to be sending to is a info@websitedomain.com which is a valid E-mail account in Cpanel.

What would cause FrontPage to try the above? The bounce message in the main accounts inbox also shows the reply-to and From address as being user@hostname.

Any ideas? WHM 9.4.0 cPanel 9.4.1-S65
    Fedora - WHM X v3.1.0

    Thanks,
    Chuck
