    500 Internal Server Error
Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or
misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact
the server administrator, webmaster@mnpokerleague.com and inform them of
the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may
have caused the error. More information about this error may be
available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error
was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the
    request. Apache/1.3.33 Server

    My steps:
    /scripts/updatenow
    /scripts/upcp --force

    rpm -Uvh http://layer1.cpanel.net/fp/frontpage-5.2-0.i386.rpm
    /scripts/fixfrontpageperm
    /scripts/initfpsuexec
    /scripts/updatefrontpage

    root@server [/scripts]# ./setupfp5
What is the servername you want to setup? server.hostname.com
/usr/local/apache/htdocs/public_html does not exist or is not a directory!

    This is affecting all domains

I already checked that and it did not help.

    /scripts/setupfp5
    hostname: server.thehost.com

    Nothing happens

    Tried every other suggested fix.

    This is still not working.

I cannot do this method one by one for over 200 accounts

    chmod 600 /home/username/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd
    chattr +i /home/username/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd

You know that will take ages

    Tried this method again:

    /scripts/updatenow
    /scripts/initfpsuexec
    find /home -name "service.pwd" -exec chmod -v 600 {} ';'
    /scripts/updatefrontpage

    Doesn't work.

Others have the same problem as well

Ok, this is getting hectic. Others are having this problem on their own dedicated servers as well now.

    What's happening here?

Here's another thing with a different dedi server client having the same problem

    root@server [~]# /scripts/setupfp5
What is the servername you want to setup? server.domain.com

It just sits there doing nothing.

    Go on, have a guess
Looks like you'll have to log a support ticket with cPanel or through your cPanel license provider.

    Hi,

If you still have the problem, simply disable mod_security and it will work.

Or, make sure mod_auth_passthrough is installed in httpd.conf. We just had this problem with a server after upgrading to mysql 4.1 and running /scripts/easyapache, the apache configuration got pretty much destroyed, and we had to piece it back together. Without mod_auth_passthrough properly installed, Frontpage didn't work, gave the same errors you're reporting.

We first went through all of the recommended solutions here on the forums, and when that didn't work, we dug further and found this to be the problem.
