    Server Specs:
    WHM 9.9.0 cPanel 9.9.2-S8
    RedHat 7.3 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

Today, our FrontPage customers started reporting the following problem:

    500 Internal Server Error
Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@xxxxxxxxxx.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/1.3.31 Server at www.xxxxxxxxxx.com Port 80

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

    Thank you! :)

Search and you find the answer, ;) best yet use "View New Posts" near the top right and see. This has been mentioned plenty today and there is a fix available.

I just tried doing this and didn't have any luck:
    /scripts/updatenow
    /scripts/initfpsuexec

I couldn't really follow everything in FP thread under new posts. Is there a simpler explaination on how to fix this?

    Thank you :)

A little quick looking turned up this for me earlier, I had the same problem...

Log in as root, and just copy/paste this in and hit enter, then wait...and you're all fixed.

    find /home -name "service.pwd" -exec chmod -v 600 {} ';'

    Cheers!

yeah second time on 1 machine and this time on 2 machines (so far) after a "stable" up?grade.

I found a LOT of damaged files in the frontpage package so I uninstalled it then ran upcp again and it was ok after that.

    Hi

Just saw this about Front Page and I started having the same problem yesterday. Is there anything fixed yet or something specific I should do or my host should do? I am getting desperate!!

    Thanks...

This has fixed it on every server I've seen so far:

    Code:
    /scripts/updatenow
    /scripts/initfpsuexec
    find /home -name "service.pwd" -exec chmod -v 600 {} ';'
