    Hi all,

    Getting a weird problem...a client who was running his site with FP98 suddenly cannot connect to his site within frontpage. I've tried everything - uninstalling/reinstalling extensions, still no dice. I even created him a FRESH account on a different server with FP extensions installed, he gets the login prompt withing FP98, but gets the attached error afterwards.

    Is FP98 no longer supported? Can anyone offer any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    What do the system error logs say? Paste here the relevant part.

    One place you could look at is the .htaccess file and see if it has been corrupted by an FTP upload by your client.

    A typical FrontPage generated .htaccess has this at the top of the file. If it is similar to this then until I see the error log then I am stuck.
    Code:
    # -FrontPage-

    IndexIgnore .htaccess */.??* *~ *# */HEADER* */README* */_vti*

    <Limit GET POST>
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    allow from all
    </Limit>
    <Limit PUT DELETE>
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    </Limit>
    AuthName www.xxxxxx.com
    AuthUserFile /home/xxxxx/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd
    AuthGroupFile /home/xxxxx/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.grp
    www.xxxxx.com is the domain name and /xxxx/ is the user name.
    Good luck.

    if memory serves me correct FP98 will no longer work with FP2002 and 2003 server extensions.

    not for sure if cpanel is using 2002 or 2003 extensions now but seems like microsoft disabled support for FP98 a bit back

    Can someone please verify that FP98 is no longer supported? .htaccess checks out.
