Frontpage won't install "Unable to create a web for the URL"

    Starting install, port: 80.

    Error: Unable to create a web for the URL "/" because its root directory, "/home/foofoo/public_html/", falls below the root of another web in the directory "/home/foofoo".
    Setting Password
    Frontpage passthough auth enabled!


    Any ideas what might cause this?

    Are you installing Frontpage on VPS server ?

    I suggest you to not to use FrontPage... I have faced many issues related to it and some time i need to recreate the domain for the silly FP error.

    Try reinstalling it and run some script related to frontpage permission and others from the /script folder..

    Root Administrator
    go into this directory "/home/foofoo and remove any .htaccess files and also remove any _vti* folders then reinstall FP extensions
