My users are being denied ftp access. The Root account works fine.

Please, any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

var/log/messages has not updated since 4/5.

Upon further investigation, the user accounts work OK via cpanel. They work OK via ftp clients. They do not work via Dreamweaver.

I turned off cpHulk just in case. No effect.

WHM Home »Account Functions »Raw FTP Log Download "The requested log file for the domain zzzz is empty."

I would suggest to:

login to the server using ssh
Go to /var/log

do a tail -f *

and then try to login using ftp. Then you can check any error and work from there.

According to Adobe community, Limitations with website hosting servers using Adobe Contribute and Dreamweaver

Setup your server to use password based authentication. Adobe Contribute and Dreamweaver do not support certificate based, public key, and Kerberos connections.
How would I do this?

Dreamweaver users have advised that they can connect using ftp but not with sftp. How can I fix that?
