    do it this way..

create a subdomain 365 at the control panel.

now create an ftp account 365 with access to the folder /home/public_html/365. Currently there will be a folder with the name 365 and the user can upload to there.

with the subdomain; he can see his files at http://domainname/365/

else http://365.domainname after the name resolves.

    can't ftp to subdomain

    hi,
having looked through these threads, I see alot of people asking the same question re setting up ftp for subdomains, but no one having problems!

i set up a subdomain of ebay.domain.co.uk, then made an ftp account with username of "ebay" and password. The subdomain is there, i can see it... but no matter what i do, i can't ftp to it.

i ftp with dreamweaver (because basically i'm lazy) and use these settings:

    ftp host: ftp.domain.co.uk
    host directory: /public_html/ebay
user: ebay@domain.co.uk (i have tried just "ebay")
    password: password

if i ftp with main account details, no problem, only with these settings.
The error says that the file doesn't exist (which it does) or that there's a permission problem (all permissions have been set to 777 for ease at the moment)

    Can anyone help?!
