    My main ftp account works...

    But the ftp accounts I made in it

    user@domain.com

    Of that kind.

    Doesn't work..

    How do I fix this, can I compile ftpd somewhere again or something?

    regards,
    spook

    Hello,

    First thing you can do is use the WHM option "Synchronize FTP Passwords".

    If this does not get ftp to work, check in /etc/proftpd.conf whether the IP address of the domain having problem is listed there. If this ip address is a shared IP, remove the virtualhost entry from proftpd.conf.
    Just delete the lines from

    <VirtualHost 111.111.111.111>
    ---
    ---
    ---
    ---

    </VirtualHost>

    The shared ip virtual host entry should not be included in proftpd.conf.

    Also check if the username is listed in the file:
    "/etc/proftpd/passwd.vhosts"

    #vi /etc/proftpd/passwd.vhosts

    once you have taken the file in the editor
    type:

    /user@domain.com

    you will see the username if it there. If the username is not in
    the passwd.vhosts file, ftp user is not added.

    If this does not solve your problem still, paste the error message you get when you try to connect via ftp. Will give a better picture of the problem.
