why is ftp still active when an account is suspended. thats a serious config problem, if you suspend an acct say for WAREZ, they can still go into FTP and suck your bandwidth DRY without you even having a slight clue because they will still have the account login information etc.

You can use any example, billing, illigal content, spamming etc. What good is suspending the account when they still have part access to it???

They can also still pop teh mail accounts ..send mail and use webmail as well as mail will come in and if they have forwarders set to other addresses those will pass the mail. Th eway I found this out is a few I have had to susspend for non-payment to get their attention don't even know they are suspended becuase all they use it for is email. Business as normal to them. It take 3 weeks for them to figure it out.

Why don't you backup the account and terminate it for misuse?

And if the matter resolves, you can get it back from the backup.

    :)

    Yeah,

but it should not be a the solution,
since for a lazy customer who does not pay on time, you have to be in trouble to suspend, back up, ....

On a thread that is approaching 3 years old and with the last post from over a year ago, it's kinda assumed that anything mentioned is ancient history.

So why did you bring it back from the grave?

This is still a problem isn't it? I suspended an account a few weeks ago & they could still get their email because it was setup as a forward to their aol account! Correct me if I am wrong but I think this is still a problem.

I do know that mail forwarders still work on suspended accounts.
