Hi, is there a log in to check the authentication attempts of any successful or failed login for FTP?

I downloaded the raw access logs from the cPanel but it only showed which user upload or download what files. I wanted to check for any users that tries to login, regardless of successful or failed login. Just wanted to know who actually tried coming in via FTP.

    Its running on CentOS6.6

    Thanks.

How do I change the retention of the data/files for the messages file? Currently I am seeing only 5 files, which I assumed is the default and I wanted to increase more.
