    Hi,

I too am facing the exact same problem as you describe above...

The problem definitely seems to be something that started after cpanel updated proftpd to verson 1.2.8 with TLS support. This causes some FTP clients like the command line ones on Redhat Linux 7.1 to stop working...while i can see that most GUI FTP clients work fine...soemthing to do with the initial authentication methods used by these FTP clients...

Are the dev guys at CPanel working on a fix of this bug in proftpd ...??
