I am using cpbackup to do offsite ftp backups.
However, when it runs it causes excessive load on the server, and makes web traffic very slow.
Is there a way I can tell the cpbackup process to pause when the server reaches a specified load amount?
Right now, a backup ends up taking 24 hours, and makes the server essentially unuseable.

What would be nice, is if it could doo all the account compressions at one time, so it only takes a few hours of high server load. Then after it has all accounts compressed and qeued, it can ftp upload them to the remote server.

The way it works right now, it's compressing one, while uploading one. So instead of just a few hours of high loads, it takes days.
