FTP keeps failing on ALL servers

Is anyone else having this problem? The majority of my calls this week have been to restart FTP, including 2 while typing this message.

Surely its not due to a cpanel update.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

I've seen it on one server. there was recently a new release of proftpd sent out because of a security vulnerability and it may well be related to that. Switcin to pureftpd would fix it, but it's not much of a solution.

If you're concerned, log it with cPanel.

Has anyone else seen this error?

I updated cpanel and it continues.

Are you on edge? To fix the problems temporarily you could switch to current or release.

    http://updates.cpanel.net/ftpinstall/version

    BETA,EDGE:proftpd:1.3.0rc1tls:1:linuxprivs_newinit
    CURRENT,RELEASE,STABLE:proftpd:1.2.10tls:5:linuxprivs_newinit

I switched to purFTP and it worked for that one server. What is going on? Any ideas? I followed your link and it is not to clear as to what could be the problem...
