ftp logs

    Hi.

    I need to gather all the IP of those who logged into FTP, or attempted to log. Where can I find the ftp logs, are they in /var/log/messages?

    Also, in the users' cpanel, they have ftp log files that are password protected. Where is cpanel actually pulling them from, as I would need to check these log files.

    btw, the ftp logs in WHM only shows me the log files for today. I need the log files for a couple days ago :)

    Yes, you can check the FTP logs from /var/log/messages through SSH.

    It is correct that the information required may be obtained via root SSH access to check the following system log file:
    /var/log/messages
