    Hi guys,
(I dont know if this is the right section to post this thread)
i have a vps server and when i create a new account, the file permissions in the public_html folder are 644 and i have to change them manually in 755 in order not to have problems with the joomla installations. How can i say the vps when creating a new account to make automatic the permissions 755??
    Is this possible??

    Thank u in advance

The direct answer to your question that everyone will tell you is that you can change the default permissions in Tweak Settings in WHM or in the /var/cpanel/cpanel.config

    HOWEVER ...

To do this would be utterly and completely pointless

Joomla **DOES NOT** require 755 permissions on any PHP system type

644 is actually perfectly fine and more appropriate

In fact on all PHP system types except for DSO alone, I would actually tighten things down further and make the PHP scripts themselves 600 and the non-script files 644.

The folders (not the files) is the **ONLY** thing that needs to have 755 permissions and that is already what is set by default on those.
