maybe a dumb question from a newbie here:
I uploaded a bunch of stuff in public_ftp folder. I created a new ftp account in CPanel which strangely enough created a folder in public_http not FTP.
Either way , when I try to access FTP via my browser , no matter where I log into , I see just a blank screen, no welcome message (which I created) no files, nothing....

I tried the same with a subdomain. Cpanel tells me to just create a user with the same name as the sub... this doesn't work period. Can't even log in.
Tried a dedicated IP. Added an A entry just for the sub. Still no FTP.

Any thoughts on what I did wrong?

    Dear lost,

Just upload the files inside of public_html instead of public_ftp.

Also perhaps enable anonymous ftp if you want to allow public_ftp to work. Support Ticket Number:
