FTP Server Not Working

Cannot connect to ftpserver and when I click restart in WHM it says that it is failing. How can I fix the problem?

Check the log file /var/log/messages for errors. You can always re-install Pure-FTP by running this command:
/scripts/ftpup --force

Did that and at the end of installation, same error...

Error logs say this:

Hello Millar,

Did you try to switch to pure-ftpd through WHM? GOTO-- >> FTP configuration -->> switch to current FTP server to the other one.

Also, if that didnt work,

You should try changing the cpanel version from stable to release in your /etc/cpupdate.conf
and run /scripts/upcp --force and then try to switch the FTP server.

That should do the trick.
