Hi In the folder a lot of people use FTP to access there is a ftpquota file. The ftpquota has to be deleted every few weeks so people can't access this folder that is subdomain wordpress. I went to FTP User Manager and change that FTP account to unlimited. Will that fix the problem?

Thank you for your time
Kim

Hey there! The .ftpquota file on the system just tracks the uploads that you're making. There's a nice explanation of that file here:

There isn't a reason you should need to delete that file from the system as it's not related to the user quotas. Can you let me know specifically what area your users aren't able to access and what error you're seeing? Just remember to remove any public information like domains or IP addresses when sharing your details.

Hi, We have a folder with news radio .mp3 files. These files are replaced and downloaded several times a day. The files are mostly small 1 minute .mp3 that radio station download or their computers automatically download to be run on their radio programs. We have several folders like that and sometimes we have issues with downloads not being allowed. Deleting the FTPquote fixes the issue for a month or so then I have to delete it again. I did find someone had limited the ftp MB use so I set them at unlimited and hope that fixes the issue. thoughts? Thank you

Thanks for the additional details. The only FTP limits would be set on additional accounts that have been created in cPanel >> FTP Accounts, as there are not separate FTP quotas for the main cPanel user. Is that where you were seeing the issue? If so, that would explain the behavior you're seeing and increasing the quota to unlimited would be the best way to resolve it.
