Hi

I have a new Cpanel install on a brand new server.

sometimes FTP just stops working and cant connect to it as if the service has been stopped.

in cpanel i go to restart service

Attempting to restart ftpserver
Waiting for ftpserver to restart.... . . . . . . . . . . finished.

ftpserver statusroot 10445 0.2 0.1 6704 1740 ? Ss 10:07 0:00 pure-ftpd (SERVER)

ftpserver started ok
Then it works fine, but this has happend a few times since i have had it (2 weeks or so).

Its a log file so you have to search the entries in it. You can use egrep or tail to look into the log file. But if you are not familiar with the shell and the commands , firstly learn how to use them or get a person that can look into it for you.

Hello,

Check the ftp service in your WHM service manager. If it is disabled, enable it.
WHM >> Main >> Service Configuration >> Service Manager
I think, it will help you :)
