An Addon FTP account, user@domain.com, does not provide access to an email account of the same user login name, AFAIK. Can you provide a few more details please?

I doubt that's an Addon FTP user.
For example if you sent out an email from a forum to your users, like this one, and you're not configured (in forum settings) to use SMTP, the email is sent by username@hostname. Send that email to more users than permitted in your cPanel settings, LFD sees it and alerts you to it. And can be configured to kill it too.
